Our History

The Jenkintown Education Foundation (JEF) of the School District of Jenkintown, founded in 1993, is a broad based 501 c (3) non-profit community organization whose exclusive purpose is to secure financial resources for the benefit of students of the District.  JEF has its foundations in the Jenkintown Improvement Association founded back in 1909. In 1925, the Association founded the Student Loan Fund to provide interest free loans to deserving Jenkintown High School graduates to assist them in their educational pursuits. Over the course of some fifty years, over 120 loans were provided to School District graduates. JEF remains engaged in soliciting contributions from alumni, residents and businesses in order to continue to support the education of students in the District.

Our goal is to enhance the educational experience of every student in our schools.
